Its quite easy as inside phones there are colour changing stickers they change when they get damp,it could be caused by steam like leaving it in the bathroom while having a hot shower for example0 -
Hi
im having problems with argos at the momemt(my sons mobile phone 4 months old) they sent it away for repair(they said if they cant repair it they will replace it)
i got a phone call saying the report said its liquid damage(he dont take it out only use as a walkman) and we will have to pay as its not covered in warranty
CS said they cant over ride store and manager wont budge is there anything i can do please
sorry for jumping in but i have put another message in mobile phones and havnt had much response
thankyou
my sons phone cost £130 it was in a sale sony ericcson w850i he bought it in July
I'm sorry to say, but there is nothing they will do. If there is evidence of liquid damage it invalidates the warranty therefore you're not entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. The repair centre we use won't even repair it for a charge either. It is a really crap rule, but it's unfortunately a rule they won't bend. The only thing I could suggest is pay to have it repaired elsewhere. It may be cheaper than buying a new phone.0 -
Thanks for your help
I have just had a phone call from them saying it cant be repaired now so theres nothing we can do as they wont replace it and i told her it was working fine before i sent it in so i hope it still is and she said why did you want a repair then:eek:
i said because the bottom shouldnt have corroded in 4 months but if theres not a lot he can do then he will have to buy a new one
thanks again0
