builder damaged my property how do i claim.

A builder who removed blocks from my wall without my consent and attached scaffolding. He then left the down pipe from the guttering of his build at the the base of my wall (during heavy rain). He is now saying the wall is unsafe but is refusing to admit he has done anything.
I am just wondering what the best course of action to take is. I have pictures of all this.

Was it your house he was working on or next door?

Need a lot more information. The scaffolding wasn't put up for nothing so what was the problem?


You will need another expert to prove your case. At this point we don't know the age of the building or what the builder was there to do.


Sometimes building work, once started can open up a can of worms.

It was my boundary wall. He was building 2 new builds, he put scaffolding around his houses during the build, he supported his scaffolding off my wall. Then he denied it had ever been attached, actually swore blind they never put it on the wall. I have pictures and a video it was attached.
There is nothing in the planning permission or the surveyors report about my wall and he is within 2ft of it. Part of the permission was to assess any unsafe structures before building. my wall is not on it.
