A word of warning to anyone who decides to sign up to these websutes (well, the Hallam FM one at least) in order to make entering their comps easier. I just sent the following complaint:

I was quite shocked when, immediately after signing up to Hallam FM, I received e-mails from both WebBrands (also known as the spam-mesisters MyOffers) and OK-mail.

I deliberately said I did not want to sign up with Webbrands and I did not give you permission to sign me up to any external companies.

What the hell do you think you are doing?

I would have thought you can win from the Midlands or anywhere unless the T&C's say otherwise.

To be fair to Hallam FM, they have just contacted me and said there is a definite problem with their system and they will sort it out. So brownie points to them for replying so promptly. I've been waiting over a month for a reply from a (non-comp-related) complaint to J D Wetherspoon, for example!

Hopefully my unsusbscribe requests will work with WebBrands but, given the morbid fear of anything to do with MyOffers on this forum, I suspect I'm in for a deluge of spam.
