Three 30 day PAYG SIM - USA

Off to the US for a short break. Thinking of taking out a £10 30 day sim that gives me 2GB of data, unlimited calls and texts, and then ditching it afterwards. Is this really the deal? It reads like it.
I have deep mistrust of Three, but happy to abuse a good deal. However in typical Three incompetence, even their documentation is inconsistent, the pack says the 30 days says from date of purchase, the inner contents say I am accepting the ToC when I insert the SIM.
Anyone know for sure when the 30 days starts? I would ask Three, but their phone line is a sale line, and I would rather offer up my first-born than talk to anyone at Three on the phone, and their Chat button their website does nothing when you press it (they even cheapskated this it seems)
