Letter for previous occupant

I received a debt chasing letter yesterday for a parking infringement for the previous occupant of my house. Obviously the previous occupant hasn't updated their V5.
I don't have a forwarding address or contact information for them so should I just bin the letter or should I return it to the debt company explaining that the addressee doesn't live at that address anymore?

Ask ten different people you would probably get five who say the first and five the second. Do whatever you feel comfortable with. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
