Hi,
I’m fitting a new bathroom towel radiator, the old one was a cheap screwfix chrome plated one which has rusted and is now leaking! I’ve got myself a replacement this time in stainless steel to avoid rusting. But I need to choose some new valves, and don’t want to skimp and put crap valves on a decent rad.
Any tips on what to get and to avoid, the majority I find are non branded, cheap etc and that makes me want to avoid! I don’t need thermostatic, just a pair or decent straight valves, ideally chrome / silver finish to match the rad.
Many thanks...

I tend to use Altecnic or Pegler valves in my house. Both are good quality. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Drayton are very good quality0

Go for a branded valve to be on the safe side. Some unbranded ones or ebay ones are imported from far east and the quality is inferior.0

I though a valve was a valve. Whats the difference0

What about new-style valves compatible with Hive, Nest and the like? Do these actually do what they are supposed to?
I'd much rather heat one room at a higher temperature than the rest remotely by GCH than run my electric fires on top. Decorative as they are, electricity is v expensive.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Not really appropriate for a towel rail.
But any advice on standard radiator valves is welcome.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
