Teachers' Pensions Error
Comments

Well, the jury is still out on the third. The first two were related to a deferred - and then claimed - state pension.
You may well already know this, but for the time she deferred her state pension, her TPS pension should have increased in full - i.e. the effect of her GMP limiting the increases on part of her TPS pension should have only kicked in when she was actually getting the 'lost' increase with her state pension instead. May be something to check in any calculations TP has provided concerning the current dispute (and it isn't in them, request a proper breakdown).0 -
Instead of doing the legwork yourself, I suggest your wife uses the scheme's Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure and asks for a full written breakdown/explanation of these issues.0

Thank you, Brynsam. Asked for this on Thursday via TPS secure messaging. They say that they'll repond withi 10 working days.0 -
Just a footnote:
From TPS, in writing, this morning:
"After reviewing your records; I have found that your pension should not have been recalculated. I have rectified the error and updated our system. Please accept my apologies you may be assured that your gross monthly pension will remain at it’s current rate and will not change to the new rate mentioned in our letter dated 4 February 2019"
