Question 're Boxt Boilers

Options
Hi

My 25 year or so boiler needs replacing and I am considering Boxt. The reviews appear to be very good as is the cost. However they want payment upfront...even though I was calling to arrange a job for the following day

for those who went with Boxt...if you paid with debit card...did you pay the cost in advance of the installation...I am wary paying for a service before have had the goods and am happy with the service. I plan to pay with credit card for S75 protection but will immediately transfer the money from my debit card to the credit card. I have been quoted an amount of £1695 with discount for installation on certain dates. is this ok do you think for this company. its such a huge expense and our first time replacing a boiler would be grateful for a response. thank you

Why not wait for the credit card bill, and pay it as normal?
That way you can probably take advantage of the maybe 56 days interest free credit credit cards typically offer.

You can earn 5% pa interest from TSB on up to £1500 (per account)

Edit: seeing what is presumably your existing debts in your signature, consider getting/using a O% interest card, and use the £1695 you have slopping around in a bank account to pay off one or more of your existing debts, at least in part if not in full.
The basic rule is to concentrate on those loans with the highest interest rate ... and I'm sure there are some there which you are paying well over 5% interest on. :money:
