I did look at the Dell Insperion, but it doesn't have super specs either. I have been researching for such a long time!!
Model number of your Toshiba? For the third time....0 -
I got an Envy just over two years ago at £750. It's quiet and am pleased with it. The only thing that bugs me is the keyboards lettering on the most used characters, like 'e' and 'r' have smudged so I now use a usb one. The support from HP is good. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

EveryWhere: The Toshiba is a Toshiba Satellite Pro A200GE-26Q Notebook PC. I have upgraded the RAM to 4GB, which I believe is the maximum. The wifi is unusably slow and the fan is loud!!!0

The OP seems concerned by the HP potential replacement's graphics performance.
Compared to any 11 year old machine, it will be in a different world.
Generally, unless you're into heavy gaming, any laptop graphics will be fine.
While I generally go with the approach with 'stick in a SSD and get a few more years from it' I think when the current machine is that old it's not worth the effort.
Buy the new machine and enjoy!0 -

Thank you...we'll come back to that.
HP? I'm not a fan of their consumer laptops. They bring out devices with the latest components, but their reliability and build quality are often suspect, in my opinion.
I am guessing that you are referring to this thing? https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-envy-x360-15-6-intel-core-i7-2-in-1-1-tb-hdd-128-gb-ssd-silver-10181000-pdt.html
It's an over-priced nonsense. For people who prefer style over substance. Worse still, after paying £1200, you'll still end up with Windows 10 Home.0 -
In your position I would choose a Dell:

Scroll through the extras. A 13" screen may put you off, don't let it: these are very good UHD screens. Likewise 8GB of RAM: 16 is not really necessary.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Back to your old laptop. It's actually newer and of a better spec than my Toshiba laptop. But mine has been fitted with a solid state drive. It really makes a huge difference to the overall performance.
Toshiba make the swapping process extremely easy. You can physically swap the drives in under ten minutes. I, in less than five.
The WiFi is not slow, it the interminable mechanical storage that is confounding you. But if you want to upgrade it, plug one in;

I'm not suggesting that you abandon your search for a new laptop, but this inexpensive upgrade will transform what you have into something pleasantly usable. We are talking about perhaps £40 or less.
Then you'll be in less of a rush to purchase and you can wait for the right device to come along.
The HP you mentioned gets a definite no from me. No sign of four or even two lane PCI Express 3.0. It looks like SATA 3.0. So just old technology at a high price. It's just showy nonsense.0 -

Again, Windows 10 Home. Rubbish!
Scroll through the extras? It's already £1300!0 -

Notwithstanding, apart from the screen size, it appears to fit the OP's criteria; https://www.colbybrownphotography.com/gear-review-dell-xps-13-9370-laptop/0 -
