Screenwash or Meths / Water Mix
Options
I've always just used water with washing up liquid, but with the winter here, i suppose I better start using proper screenwash, or is meths OK to mix with water.
My father used to add meths for years and it didn't seem to do any harm. I think it prevents the water freezing too.
What ratio should I use please ?

Just buy some screen wash.0

Just buy screenwash and make sure you buy the concentrate not the, nearly as expensive, 'already watered down' rip off.
Also, don't use washing up liquid, it isn't good for the car.0 -

Don't use meths, more likely to damage the seals. Normal screenwash is best and the container gives the ratio guidelines for summer and winter0 -
Even ignoring anything else, surely screenwash is cheaper and easier to get than meths?

The clue is in the name - Money SAVING Expert!
Meths costs £12 45 for 5 litres.
Proper concentrated Winter screen-wash costs £4.99 for 5 litres.
So it's a no-brainer really.0 -

Don't use cheap additive - it blocks the water filter (it did on my Suzuki repeatedly and Suzuki advised me) - it goes "LUMPY" and clogs the filter !!0
