CPM; Is this appealable?

So,
I received a CPN on my dashboard after visiting a friend in a new estate; under their aweful parking terms i breached their terms and conditions of parking. [Parking on a roadway??!?!?!]
I want to know if i am able to take this appeal further as i have been unsucceful with an internal appeal.
I've tried contacting the landowner but they have asked me to go through CPM UK internally, i feel like this is fightable but the future doesnt look bright so far... any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to remind the landowner, he is jointly responsible for the actions of his agent and as such, if this goes to court you will involve him in the action.
More fool him for taking on CPM in the first place0 -
I've never appealed one of these tickets before so it's a little worrying. I've read the noobies guide etc etc tho so thats all good.
I've only got 14 days before the discounted fee is redacted tho therefore pressure is on. I've emailed the housing estate customer support and see if they can chase this up or something. If not i could be in a spot of trouble ~ might be worth paying the £60??0 -
The3re are several grounds on which you can appeal, clarity o signs, height, size of font, illuminated or not, wording, etc. Contract of PPC with landowner, are PPC permitted to take people to court? Timeliness and wording of NTD, NTK.
They have many hurdles to clear, if they fail one they are Friar Tucked.
The whole industry is a scam, relying on threats of court, and the public's ignorance of the Law, A bill is currently before parliament which will regulate the scammers, many of whom are ex-clampers.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.
Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Second Reading in the Lords this month, and, with a fair wind, will l become Law later this year..
All five readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 7-8 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers. YYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thank you,
I really appreciate this lengthy and informative response.
Unfortunately i too am ignorant of the law and worried about paying the fine and the impending court letters etc. i might need some coaching through this one; currently faced with an unsuccefull appeal email

You really need to read other threads on here. Some people can win appeals, but you need to pick your appeal points and if relying on signage, you will need photos. But from your posts, you seem half hearted about this and need to sharpen up.0

No appeal will work; it is a scam.
DO NOT TRY IAS STAGE. DO OT EVEN THINK ABOUT PAYING, EITHER.
No, the NEWBIES thread post #3 tells you NOT to try IAS.CPM; Is this appealable?
Why not just search for other UKCPM threads, using their name as a search word?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
