I'd imagine trying to see the roads on a very small screen is not going to make things better

Especially in bright sunlight when wearing photo-chromatic prescription glasses.

Most of the time I can't even tell if my phone is on or not.

If I ever need to go to an area of London I don't know I always print a map for walking from the nearest tube station,
You should also carry a compass, so that when you come out of some arbitrary tube station exit you know which direction you're facing!

You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Well at least you aren't printing loads of maps everywhere you go. But do you actually use the road atlas in your car?

It's just so much easier and more convenient to simply look at something like google maps on a smartphone that if i had one in my car i would have never used it.
I do. When you are in a part of the country you don't know, sat navy is fine if you have a destination, but for planning a route for sightseeing not so good, especially if you vary the route depending on what you fancy seeing. An atlas gives you a better overview for things like that and, as an earlier poster said, it's always good to have a backup. I'm an enthusiast of modern technology but that shouldn't mean blindly rejecting the traditional methods too.
