So this has now moved to court allocation stage. We are still waiting for a date, but the latest is that BW Legal have sent a letter with a pack of ‘evidence’ that they intend to use and stating that they have seen defences like ours before and that our defence is essentially based upon cut and paste and is not based on law. They’ve offered a reduced fee for 14 days.

Am I right in assuming this is just another part of the ploy to get us to pay before court?

You'll see other people laughing at the same letter here, on all Britannia threads!

Keep at it, a few shorts steps towards possible discontinuation.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

They would be insane to continue with this imo, you paid the fee, your defence looks a winner, they are overclaiming, and relying on Beavis will do them no favours.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

You have to laugh about the stupidity of BWLegal. Kids could do better.

Most, if not all letters from BWLegal are copy and paste because they don't know what else to say in the great parking scam

A sad hapless company who in your case is offering a discount because they don't think they can win

Could they be on the verge to discontinue or are they on the way to be zapped in court again ??

Thanks for the responses. Good to hear that this is still part of the standard ploy by BW Legal. We will wait to see what happens next!!

So we have now received our Court Date, 10th September. We have to submit our witness statement and evidence by the end of July. I intend to include within the evidence pack the following:
    - Pictures of the signage (including the fact that the signs are inconsistent, on one sign it states a full VRN is required and on another there is no mention of this requirement)
    - 2 videos I took of the parking meter showing that when the meter is on 'sleep' mode the opening screen and instruction differs depending on what key you press. If you press any of the aplhanumeric buttons to 'wake' it, it opens with a please insert coins instruction whereas if you press any of the other keys such as the green enter button it instructs you to enter your VRN. Surely that is misleading!
    - My ticket with the amount paid and time valid.

Is there anything else that I should include?

You bring to the attention of the court this abuse quoting case numbers and court.

On the same thread, read what coupon mad says.
AND ...... as BWLegal or one of their staff signed a declaration of truth, this is important to bring to the attention of the judge, see what Jonnersh says in the same thread
