Went into my local Asda (Warrington) and the only offer they had on Johnsons wet wipes was BOGOF @ £2.60 per pack...
Do you all think you were lucky and managed to buy a full box that scanned as a single unit although I can't see it myself??
What does it say on your till receipts? 1 unit or 12?

    Cheers and well done :D

  • I rushed to Asdas on the way home from work, buy one get one free for £2.60 was the best offer i saw in the 3 asdas I went to. They were in boxes of 12 but they opened them and sold them seperate.

You seem to have got a great bargain, How far is rawtenstall!!

Dammit! I wish I'd filled the trolley and bought the lot so I could sell them to you MSE'ers!

I really didn't think they'd last long. It sounds like it was a case of being in the right place at the right time, and any later would have been too late.

Europa16, I feel guilty now for buying two boxes when I don't even have kiddies. If you want a box and live near Rawtenstall I will give you a box gladly.

As I explained, they were £2.68 for 12 packets. They were sold by the box but the checkout operators had to scan one packet from the box which went through as 12. Everything was checked with the managers etc and yes they really WERE that price.

I don't think I have the receipt now (and the bin men have only just been :( ) but it said comething like 'Johnsons wipes x 12'

Sorry I can't be more help!

slightly OT but I think Aldi Mammia wipes are the best. They are like cloth.

never had a problem flushing them, they are almost the same as the moist wipes i found in germany 15 years ago, it is like an angel kissing your bum when you have had a hum dinger ring stinger, couple moisty's followed by a dry.

a great find, i will have to go to asda on my way hme from work tmrw.

Another tip - yesterday, on one of the "keep your home clean" TV programmes, it was suggested to use baby wipes for cleaning leather sofas, as the moisturiser in baby wipes is good for the leather.

my uncle has been making sofas for many years. When i had a mishap with a wet bag and my leather which resulted in the print transferring onto the leather he asked what i had tried to remove it, i told him i tried baby wipes. My uncle told me under no circumstances use them as the takes the colour out of the leather so if i was you i would not use it for leather. My uncle works for dfs now going out to peoples houses and dealing with claims on the extra cover people had taken out so he must know what he is talking about.
