E: 06/02 Win a spectacular walking holiday in the French Alps
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize:
The winner and a guest will join a week-long guided walking holiday based in Chamonix, exploring the Mont Blanc Circuit — a series of spectacular footpaths around the massif. The circuit usually takes a fortnight to complete, but Exodus’s Mont Blanc Highlights tour cherry-picks the highlights over five days, in the company of a qualified mountain leader.
The group will be based in a comfortable off-duty ski chalet on the outskirts of Chamonix, and transfers to and from the path will be by train, cable car and minibus. The walks are moderately strenuous — rated 3/10 by Exodus — and there are nine guaranteed departures this summer to choose from, between May 24 and July 27, subject to availability.
The prize includes return flights from Gatwick, transfers, accommodation, daily breakfast and a picnic lunch and dinner on the five walking days.
Questions
1 To which saint is the church dedicated?
Answer: St John the Baptist
2 What is the name of the commuter town?
Answer: Rickmansworth
