Primer undercoat for floor paint?

So I have sanded my floor and decided to paint it - my question is can I use a bog standard primer / undercoat under floor paint or do I need special undercoat etc.
This is for a bedroom floor so wont get tremendous amounts of traffic. Can't find definitive answer on paint sites
