Neighbours trampoline broke my fence

So today I've just noticed my fence has fallen down (I go to work when it's dark and come home when it's dark so that's why I don't see it everyday) , I initially thought it was wind damage but its not been too windy and on closer inspection the fence has been ripped from the wall it was attached to and the bushes bent over I don't think it is.
In next doors garden there is a large metal trampoline next to the fence that's broken, this now has something holding it down. I can't prove this actually happened as the trampoline has moved but it is quite clear it was this. After coming back from work last night the side gate to the garden was open but as it was dark I didn't investigate.
I have tried to speak to my neighbour but I think he's avoiding opening the door to me.
Any advice on this matter. The fence is ours, however another part of the garden had a piece of fence he put up and this fell down, he hasn't fixed it months later.

Unless you can prove that your neighbour has been negligent then just either pay to fix it yourself or claim on your insurance, that's what it's there for.0

Is it just the panel that’s broken, or posts as well? If just the panel it will be relatively cheap to replace, certainly not worth claiming on insurance for.
Unless your neighbour confirms their trampoline damaged the fence and that they’re willing to pay for the repair, it’s down to you.0 -
I would keep trying to talk to neighbour, you can ask about the fence you think they broke, and the other piece that has not been repaired for some time.
Once you have spoken then you can sort out what you want to do, but for one fence panel it is not worth claiming on your ins as it would be not be greater than your excess.
A standard fence panel is approx £30.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

The posts have just been uprooted so probably would be usable. Yeah I figured fixing myself is the best option I just wondered if there's anything you can actually do in these circumstances as I'm new to having a mortgage and dealing with these issues instead of calling the landlord!0

Just one of the joys of home ownership!
Congratulations on buying, it’s not easy to get on the housing ladder. Make sure to save an amount each month to cover inevitable expenses like these.0
