Verm x for dogs

Our vet prescribed Advocate for our dog but it didn't agree with him. We then tried Nexguard Spectra but after reading more about it, I decided I didn't want to use that either.
I have read up about Verm x which sounds ideal, but I wonder if anyone uses it and if it works ?
