New mortgage on bank contract

I’m currently on a 5yr fixed mortgage which I took out when I was working as a full time NHS employee.
I’m about to change onto 2 bank contracts, one for the NHS which is the same job I’ve had for 17yrs but just to be more flexible and another job which is also bank.
My fixed rate mortgage ends Feb 2020 so I will have a year of working these bank contracts by the time I switch my mortgage.
I’m worried that I might run into problems with lenders given that I’m single income and only on bank contracts
Anybody have any pearls of wisdom or been in the same situation?

You should always start by looking at the retention offers your current lender has. That way, they don’t check affordability as long as you aren’t asking for more money or to change the term.
Or you use a broker that will be able to know the lenders criteria and place you that way.0
