house of fraser card ppi upheld from 2001

just letting everyone know that i have been successful with my complaint from santander from an old house of fraser account from 2001 which was originally rejected.

dec 12th: filled a form from santander website to see if i had any ppi on any of the the products i had with them.

dec 20th: letter to confirm two card had ppi, i called them to confirm they said it was two house of fraser cards from 10/01/2001 and 01/02/2002 both closed in 2003.

dec 22th: went on line filled the complaint form

january 10/01/2019: received a questionnaire asking for employemnt details, savings etc and proof of employment. i sent the form the next day with a copy of emplouyment letter to say i was working for the nhs from 2001-still with them

january 15: i rang them to say have you recieved my questonnaire? they said not yet, however i can do this over the phone. so i answered the same questions over the phone.

january 26th: i had a letter to say they are not upholding my complaint as they did notjing wrong with the sale and it was sold fairly and another letter stating it was 15 years ago.

january 28th: i called to say i feel you made a decision wothout my original qustionnaire and copy of employment. they advised fax over the employement letter and case to be re-opened

feb 1st: i called to say have you recieved my fax copy of my letter and have re-opend my case............................guess what they have now upheld my complaint:rotfl:i paid 300 in premiums and will be getting £1258 into my account within 14 days:j

do not give up, even if 19 years ago or more. go get your money

    You were lucky, dependng on who sold it and when, usually store cards are not regulated. Santander has been intermittently paying out over the years..
