    Afternoon!

csarina - thanks, I made it home in good time.

The views on my drive were glorious, bright blue skies, the sun twinkling off the tops of the snow-covered mountain and the sea just sparkling away like a firework.

I've filled up the bird feeders and unpacked my haversack. I've also eaten for the first time today.

My DM's shopping was a quick event as she's trying to eat from the freezer. She wanted a photo of herself in the new sub-£4.00 M&S trousers so we've done that. The length is a tad short so she's wearing big long purple socks which close the gap.

The other night she took the first of the anti-anxiety tabs, unfortunately it made her sleep for almost 24 hours so won't be taking any more. Back to plan A.

Made a small complaint in W aitrose, the wee cafe at the bakery hasn't had a working coffee machine for two weeks because the required cleaning balls haven't been ordered in time. Just ridiculous. There's a lot of people use the wee cafe rather than the larger one at the front as that one is too noisy. We'll see what happens now.

Poppy - good to see you back and sorry to read of your woes. I hope that you are now on the road to recovery.

Nelski - your boyfriend was being interviewed on the Graham Norton R2 show this morning. I just caught the end of it, he was on about 12.45'ish.

    Happy rest of Saturday.
  • Can someone who is physic tell me where the can opener has gone??:mad: I went to get it out this morning to open a tin....looked everywhere for it, no luck.....even looked in places where I knew it could not possibly be.

I had to use the old opener we used in the caravan, I had stashed it, with some of the other camping stuff in the cupboard in the hall. I really aught to get in there and sort it out.

Had been muttering about getting an electric one, as my hands are not too clever just now, so I have ordered one, on its way to me. Whats the betting I will now find the mechanical one?????:eek:

Hi everyone....just a quick report on my little granddaughter. She is now up to 3lbs 2oz, is feeding well and is only on a small amount of oxygen. Hopefully she'll get out of her incubator and into a cot next week.
I went to see her today and saw a big change in her as it was 2 weeks since I'd last seen her. She looks a lot bigger though is still tiny....which doesn't really make sense! I touched her for the very first time and stroked her little head and fed her through a syringe.....yes I'm a very happy granny today!
DD came back home with me in the taxi as she got stuck at the hospital last night because of the snow so had had a lovely long visit...luckily there was an empty room she could stay in.
Hope everyone has had a good day
