Homeserve and heat link problems beyond economical repair

Having a bit of a nightmare with homeserve and heatlink. Please could I get advice.

Here is the first issue - there are internet suppliers that sell the part that my boiler needs - genuine and reputable dealers, however homeserve are refusing to i buy and install the part as none of their suppliers sell the part. i do agree though i need a new boiler!

I have Homeserve Cover 8 and within that cover they advise that if they are unable to repair a boiler then they will replace it. I have a bosch highflow 400 - the cover agrees that they would install an equivalent boiler as long as it is an ideal and i pay the install costs through heatlink.

Now get this - install costs of £1650! for a logic in the same place!

Now there are a number of installers who have advised that they could install the same boiler if required for the same or less in the same location (and in that case the boiler would not be free yet overall still cheaper).

I have lost a number of crucial days - have been without hot water or heating during this awful snap with 2 very young children and I wish that homeserve made it really clear about the expense of installing the boiler and that they don't do an equivalent highflow specification.

I am now looking for an alternative installer that will be able to install a premium brand boiler at a lower or equivalent price. The idea of £1650 installation price is in itself obscene and goes against my principles --- in no way shape or form does it form a free boiler.

has anyone else had a simaler experience with heat link and homeserve?

any advice on how to navigate and best next steps?

What's wrong with the highflow?

A logic is a very poor boiler and is no like for like replace for a highflow, highflows will provide between 17-22 litres of hot water every minute depending on model.

Just pay for someone else to repair your boiler, sue homeswerve for the cost, and never give them a penny again.
