Hi, my wife has decided to get a car via motorbility, but she is still learning to drive. Does she need to have someone as named driver to be able to get one?

So would she not be able to without a nominated driver, doesn't have anyone with 5 miles0

She can learn to drive in it., however if she hasn't got a driver who meets the criteria then she won't be able to drive the vehicle with just a provisional.0

Would she still be able to get the car now, has been learning and actually a very good driver so won't be long until she has full licence, and then when various people have the time to go out with her to practice in mean time can just be added on temporary? Like I said before no one that can help drive with her lives within the 5 miles to be added permanently.

Have a read of https://www.motability.co.uk/information-for-customers/cars-and-wheelchair-accessible-vehicles-customer-area/your-agreement-named-car-drivers
Does that help? If not then give them a call0 -
Why not just wait until she passes her test ?
Same stuff to spend her Pip mobility award on a car that she can't drive yet0
