How to get my name shown in WhatsApp group message

I agreed to be part of a WhatsApp group and whenever someone messages their name is in the top right corner of the chat box after a ~ sign but on my messages there's nothing there and I have to add my name to the message each time

When you send a message it doesn't have your name attached on your phone. However, it will appear on the other members phones. They will see your name and the others in the group, but their own message doesn't have the senders name attached.
Making the assumption you know who you are......:D

Normal behavior AFAIK, they assume you know which messages you posted, so leave it off.

Your name will appear on your posts on others peoples phones in the group in the same way their name appears for you

Does your name not get added as its you, same would happen for everyone else in the group if they looked st their phones.

These days, when asked, I sometimes have to look at the name tag sewn into my underpants. I would recommend this approach because when they find their way to lost property you get them back.:eek:
