Setting aside a CCJ

(Forgive me if this is answered elsewhere)
I have a CCJ that is 3 years old (16/1/16) for £501. Had I known about it, I'd have paid or attended the Court hearing.
The CCJ was set against a flat that I had sold 3 months before so, I think, that I should have the right to set the CCJ aside.
Also, the debt was over 6 years old
Thoughts?
And if I can, does anyone have a template for me to fill out the N244.

Was the debt over 6 years old at the time that the CCJ was awarded?0 -
What is the CCJ for?
It is down to you to update your creditors when you move0 -

If the debt was statute barred at time of judgement, then that may be sufficiant for a set aside application, however, you are supposed to do this in a timley manner, the court may think 3 years is too long, and then again they may not.
You do not use a template letter, you fill in the N-244 yourself, with your own reasons for wanting a setaside, in your case it would be because time had run out to collect on this debt as it would of been statute barred at the time it went to court.
There are no guarentee`s the court will accept your application, so it may be a bit of a gamble.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I'm currently dealing with a set aside application for a CCJ (Default Judgment) from 2006 (i.e. 13 years ago).
The evidence is compelling and 'so far so good'.
