DH has held £25 for over 45 years...never won a penny!! They were gifts from his grandparents when he was little.

He's waiting for "the BIG ONE" !!!
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.38% of current retirement "pot" (as at end April 2024)

I had £20 in Premium Bonds bought for me as a child.

In 50 years I had one win of £100 _party_

I will be keeping £25 in Premuim Bonds for nostalgia.
    Retired 1st July 2021.
    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Shame they didn't change the odds such that someone with £25 has a meaningful chance of winning anything.

The only way of doing that would be to reduce the prizes to 25p !

I tried to invest £30 in my premium bonds just a couple of weeks ago ... only to the receive a letter saying that the amount had be returned to my bank account because the minimum amount was £50 (not £100).

Wasn't any mention in that letter that they were planing to reduce it to £25. :o
