Halifax Clarity - 3D Secure

Hello,
I believe that Halifax are moving to the next level of Credit Card security, which requires another level of interaction, for example waiting for a text to confirm you are making a purchase online.
This is driving me crazy, even small purchases are being delayed by up to 20 minutes by this.
I use a VPN on all of my devices, I wondered if anyone else is having this trouble, or if my VPN is confusing things?
Thanks
MM

My Clarity card always goes through very quickly. Sometimes a Halifax box pops up for less than a second and disappears. When i have purchased flight tickets online through EVA air they have confirmed that the Halifax transaction was 3D Secure0

I use NordVPN and opt into their CyberSec ad-block thing and I find that this causes issues with some payment things such as MasterCard SecureCode, but I haven't had it get in the way when a SMS has needed to be sent before. Usually it blocks the Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure code thing from appearing so I need to disable the VPN and refresh the page (or sometimes repeat the transaction - it doesn't get verified the first time so there is minimal risk of being double charged). I imagine its an issue with the volume of requests Halifax is now required to send and the infrastructure can't cope, rather than a software issue on your end, but it might be worth trying a few transactions without it to see if there is any difference0

I bought some flights yesterday using Clarity, box popped up saying needed to verify identity. Seconds later transaction went through no additional action needed.0 -
If the device is recognised then entering the PW may not be required. I’ve not entered mines in years.0

Thanks for the replies, it seems that the VPN is causing the issue.
Oh the irony of having to turn off VPN to make a secure payment...0
