Boiler advice (a long shot, I know!)

I got a plumber in in April from the Recommended Tradesman website to remove a hot water tank, to put a new combi boiler in, thermostatic mixer shower and central heating. He messed up a bit during (gas leak and flooded my hallway slightly) but it all ended fine.
In the last week, whatever setting I have the temperature at, I can't get any hot water at all - even at a trickle it was barely lukewarm. When I have the central heating on, again at max temperature on the boiler and on the individual radiators they just get lukewarm.
The "fault" light on the boiler isn't lighting, but as it's in the guarantee period and I'm reduced to cold showers in this weather I want to call someone in. Any ideas what might be the problem? Also do I have to get in the person who did it originally? I can't get his details from anywhere, and am worrying as I only have his name (Geoff Bailey) and the area he's from (Bradford)
Any help greatly greatly appreciated!

hi
you will have at least a one year warranty with the manufacturer of the boiler and you should contact them direct. They should come out to you within 24 hours. Don't let anyone else open it up or fiddle with it as it will void the warranty.
Will be fixed for free by the manufacturer. It is a boiler fault not the plumbers problem. You don't need his details as long as you have something to prove when the boiler was fitted you will be ok.
Hopefully you will have heating and hot water by Tuesday.

Hi, did the plumber complete the benchmark registration form? Did you recieve a notice stating the installation had been notified? Did you check whether this person was corgi registered, if the answer to these questions is no then you may have a problem. The manufacturer will often not accept responsibility if the boiler has not been installed to comply with their instructions. If he was registered than you can go to www.trustcorgi.com and check his status using his id number which will be on your paperwork.
If you have all the correct paperwork and the boiler was installed correctly by all means call out the manufacturer. Good luckMine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D0
