Yes Car Credit/Direct Auto Finance PPi Claims.

Hello all,
Having just searched the site for any potential information/help on claiming back any mis-sold PPi from the above company I am only finding old threads that are closed and none seem to show any success. I am now wondering if any one has ever managed to claim their PPI back from them? I know it was mis-sold following going through the check list on the site, "told you couldn't have the credit if you didn't take it out", and looking at the previous forums there looks to have been a company called Stephensons Solicitors that did some work for a member. Were any of you successful? Who did you contact? How did you do it?
Any help/info to get the ball rolling is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Chris

If it was before 2005 - no, pre-regulation
After 2005 - you can try (unless the business is closed)
Don't use third party claims firmsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I got this link though Facebook today randomly. Is it legit or have Yes Car Credit got away with stealing thousands of pounds worth of my money too?0 -
Nothing on Facebook is legit.
No one has stolen your money. If you have a PPI complaint, send it directly to the seller.
How much was the car if you paid thousands in PPI?0 -

Also known as scambook. Is it legit or have Yes Car Credit got away with stealing thousands of pounds worth of my money too?
Its not legitimate. See the bit on the page where is says they have claimed £42m from Yes Car Credit? Now take a look at the following sites:
https://myclaimsolved.com/PPI/Teesside-Audi-PPI-Claim.php
https://myclaimsolved.com/PPI/Skandia-Life-PPI-Claim.php
There are hundreds more all saying they reclaimed £42m from each of them. However, I picked those two particularly as the first is a car dealer. Do you honestly believe a single dealer sold enough to pay out £42m in PPI redress?
The second one, Skandia Life never sold PPI and didn't retail products direct to the consumer.
In fact, the website is making potentially unlawful allegations. It says
"Many consumers may have been mis-sold PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) by Skandia Life, PPI may have been added to a customer's policy by Skandia Life, in some cases without their knowledge. Skandia Life may have disapproved a credit application if PPI was refused by the customer."
Yet Skandia life never did credit applications. Making such allegations without evidence is libel.
If you refresh their website you will see that the provider's names all change at the bottom and it appears they are just listing companies. Many of whom have never sold PPI.
After a few refreshes and seeing many companies that have nothing to do with PPI or insurance appearing, it looks like this CMC is just using the FCA register to display company names and use the same website with each.
I have reported them to the FCA and the ASA.0 -
We had 2 cars with them and they charged us £40 per month for PPI insurance for each car and this was for 5 years!!! My calculations show that was £4800 in PPI alone total. So yes, I would classify that as thousands!! I have gone directly to both YYC and DAF and got a pure and simply sod off every time!! Absolute scammers and Steve Plowman is a lying joke. We tried to get it back at the time - back in 2006 and he just told us to go away!!0

Do remember that not all PPI was mis-sold in any case. What would be your complaint (other than "theft") if they did have to consider your concerns?0
