Rep for Scottish Power?

Wondering if there would there be a rep for Scottish Power that visits the board?

Scottish Power - I keep trying to pay a bill and your 'inhouse payment team'/debt collections keep telling me my account is on hold due to 'system issues' twice in a month when I've called now!!??

Do I pay the balance that I think I have and select a new energy supplier. Will that get Scottish Power's attention? Done just over an hour to customer services freephone number today.

Many thanks.

I suggest you follow the supplier's complaint procedure to obtain a resolution :)
  • Thanks, yes I am thinking that is what will have to happen.

Sorry to drag this up. If I need to take my energy complaint further then would it be the Financial or Energy Ombudsman.?

On the 1st March I was still going round in circles and the energy company reckoned they would then 'log a complaint' and get back to me in 10 days, I asked for writing but learnt they have tried calling just once and carried on sending collection letter/emails and asking for meter readings which I have provided twice this year already.

On the 1st March, getting more concerned, I did make a payment of some of the balance but I also noted when I made a payment on my online account they have me as a business/commercial customer rather then residential. I do wonder if this is my problem with it comes to 'their system issues'.

Today I've tried calling again to be called a liar by the collections team despite having receipt and diary to prove the things I have done and don't seem want to think they should explain anything so I think I need to keep to writing.

    Thanks for any help.

Edit - for future reference, it's the Energy Ombudsman you can go to, complaint time of 8 weeks applying. I just got told to carry on emailing the energy company despite them not replying and failing call backs.
