car loan and recent searches - good chances?

I've never had a car loan but I'm looking into getting one over the next couple of months. However, I've recently switched bank accounts and utility providers and my credit rating has gone down from Excellent to Good. I know people say credit scores are not important, but how do recent applications impact one's ability to get car loans? I switched bank accounts and utility providers in January. Do I need to wait a certain period of time e.g. 3+ months for the searches to become old? I don't want to get a decline. Thank you.
