Issues with Santander

I am on benfits as I am disabled and I have had nothing but grief from Santander keep flagging transactions, blocking my card, my aco!!!! and I mean full lockdown so they even refuse to let me withdraw money after producing my passport and bank card. his had continued for 2 years as they dont beleive I am the account holder and I am just had enough. Is there any other way of recieveing money other thant using a bank account because I dont really want a currant account anymore because I cant cope.


can you still get a post office account? if so can you still have benefits paid in to it?

What money are you receiving - just benefits money or other from other sources?

If they don't believe you're the account holder then they won't ever let you access the account.

However, it's not uncommon for banks to ask account holders to verify ID in branch after a transaction they see as suspicious but this doesn't mean they don't believe it's your account. It shouldn't happen regularly so if it does then raise a formal complaint with them, and if they don't resolve it to your satisfaction then escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

It may be that the way you run your account could cause problems with other banks too but not having a current account at all seems overkill.

Under certain circumstances benefits can be paid elsewhere, ask your benefit office for details.

its not the way I fun my account its because I have a naturally deep voice as a woman and they think I am a imposter. I am recieving just benefits disability

why not just open a bank account elsewhere or am i missing something?
