North Devon attractions?

Options
Hi,

We are going to N.Devon in April and are looking for suggestions on things to do (7o and 11yo)

Also, if anyone knows where I can get discount codes for:

The milky way
The Big Sheep

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

Cycling or walking along the Tarka Trail is great, it's an old railway track so almost completely flat. It goes from Meeth to Braunton completely off-road.

There is cycle hire in Torrington or Bideford
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.
  • Combe Martin Wildlife and dinosaur park is excellent, We have family in north devon and try to visit every time we go. Really love it. The hill to the the entrance is pretty steep though

At Lynton there's also the fabulous Valley of the Rocks. Only a 5 minute walk out of town.

As well as those mentioned above, I recommend:

    Porlock Weir

Clovelly has it's equal measure of lovers and haters because of the charges. If you're not going to visit then the rest of the Hartland Heritage Coast is amazeballs

When The Vikingettes were younger they really enjoyed The Big Sheep and The Milky Way. I thought The Big Sheep would be The Big Sh*te but I really enjoyed it. It's amazing how much fun you can have with sheep...

    Boscastle

And if you want something more organised, then Tintagel Castle isn't a million miles away.
    The man without a signature.
  • We got a 15% discount for the Milky Way by booking online- it was brilliant fun, and entertained us all on a dingy Deb'n day- children then aged 10 and 14. The falconry was what swung it for us over the Big Sheep. Very level site, and lots indoors. (I also learnt that I am now Much Too Old to be going on rollercoasters!)

Depending on where you stay, Dunster Castle is only an hour or so away, and good to nose around, and we took the 90 minute journey down to Eden, and are managing to return within 12 months so can use the tickets again.

My daughter and I loved Clovelly, but boy was that a steep climb back up!
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

Second this, we had a great time cycling on this with our dog (he obvioulsy loved it too).
