Banks that do not require mobile phone transactions

I bank with Santander who send an OTP to my phone when I try to pay a new account. I live in an area with no phone signal, so have to phone them in order to pay a bill, which s really inconvenient.
Can anyone recommend a good bank that would not require me to bank using a mobile phone? (I have a foreign bank account whereby code numbers are swapped via a small calculator-type device).

Tesco? Any of the banks that use a card reader, Barclays, Nationwide etc. You could just open one of these for bill payments and retain your Santander account0

BOS - they ring you up on your landline or mobile - your choice. It's an automated call. You just key in, or say, the number on your computer screen.0

HSBC / First Direct have code generators ("Secure Keys") instead of card readers.
However, be aware that new rules mean that most banks will be sending authorisation codes for online card transactions by text message.

Amazon will love this, what with their 'Buy with One Click' option. :rotfl:0 -
The Halifax rang my landline yesterday to confirm a new payee. They later also texted my mobile but I didn't need to respond, which is a good job because I often have no signal. It seems a lot more secure to use a landline as it would seem more difficult to steal it from your pocket or bag! But they always give me a choice.0

All of LBG (Halifax, BOS, Lloyds) can be operated with a landline only.
Many banks / building societies use a card reader, or a code generator gadget: Natwest, RBS, Coop, Tesco, Nationwide, Yorkshie Bank, Clydesdale Bank, Barclays
I think HSBC, First Direct and eventually M&S want to move their customers to their app, away from the hideous code generators.0 -

Why not look into getting a femtocell or a phone with Wi-Fi calling so you can use your mobile at home.0 -
