Hi I sent off various CCA requests last week and just had an acknowledgment from PRA saying they don’t charge the £1 fee to their customers. I sent a postal order which has been returned. As i’ve already paid for it and it has their name can I do anything with it? 🤷!♀️
I’m not sure if it has been ‘crossed’ it was made out to them with the amount stated as I thought this was better/safer.

I don't put creditor name on them nor cross them. If they get returned you can then use them on the next one.0

Thanks both, think i’ve binned the receipt after a week of visitors and tidying !♀️ Never mind I won’t stress over it just annoying. Shouldn’t need to do anymore so I’ll kust put it down to one of those pain in the bum scenarios!0

My advice is staple the returned postal order to the PRA letter which acknowledges receipt of your CCA Request (otherwise how would they be able to return the postal order) and keep it in your file so you have evidence that the request was made and the statutory fee paid if you ever find yourself on the receiving end of a court claim.
PRA are very litigious.
