Bosch dishwasher not heating

I've got a 2 year old bosch dishwasher SMS40T32UK, yesterday it stoped befor the rinsing cycle with a flashing 'Check Water' light. I cleaned the filter tried it again, same thing, but I also noticed the water didn't heat up. It filled up with water fine, and drained away fine.
So what can I check first? if its a problem with the heater why is the check water light coming on?

Check your manual for solutions. One thing that appears to work is turn of power pull dishwasher out and tilt front to back over 45 degrees also side to side this gets the water out of tray under machine. Try again.

  • That should free a blockage, but will it make it heat up the water?

Would say its not a blockage? it could be the water is in a catch tray and is activating a sensor throwing machine out of sync.

Hopefully the op will come back with the outcome/solution? it would benefit others if same came up.
