Wowcher voucher expiry

Hi.
I had a wowcher credit of £240 that had been refunded to me because the merchant could no longer provide the service I had bought.
Recently when I attempted to use the voucher I found it had been deleted. On further investigation there is a 3 month limit before the voucher "expires".
Is this legal? Can wowcher just take my money away after 3 months? Do I have any legal rights to compensation here?
Thanks

What did the Wowcher terms and conditions say when you bought the voucher?0

Were you told this at the time about the time limit to spend it?
Why were you not given a cash refund?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
How was the voucher originally paid for and by whom?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Turns out it's mentioned in the T&Cs. But how is that allowed? They've literally taken 240 cash from me. Surely I have some rights here0

I bought a voucher for a dermal filler but had been told I wouldn't need to use it for 8 months but that was OK as they would still be trading then. However the merchant then stopped offering the service by the time I tried to redeem it. Wowcher refused to give me a refund but gave me a credit voucher. I wasn't told by the operative that it expires in 3 months. I can't believe its legal to just take your money if you don't use it in 3 months?.0

I bought it with my debit card0

Vouchers are a stupid concept, especially for important things and especially for expensive things.0 -

Just to clarify...
You bought a voucher for this treatment, but when you came to claim it, the company was no longer trading. What was the expiry date on the voucher? Did you claim within this time? (You mention being told 8 months later was fine, but who said this?)
Wowcher then gave you credit instead of a refund. The expiry on the credit was only 3 months.
Why on earth did you accept a credit refund??? If the voucher they sold you was not valid, then they need to refund in the same method that you paid e.g. to your card in cash.
I would be telling Wowcher that their credit refund is not acceptable, and you want refunding to your card. (Assuming you did not breach the T&Cs for the initial voucher)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
