Moved in last month and the “ let “ sign is still up
Do the estate agents employ handy men to collect them? Or should I contact the estate agent and ask them politely to remove it ? Thanks

The agent normally employs a handy person to erect and take down signs, but as that person takes instructions from the agent, it's the agent you contact about removal.
Mind you, in certain student areas and places with a high turnover of tenants, the signs sometimes remain up all year.0 -
In reality it’s their presence and advertising to boost their presence in an area.
They never come down as quick as they go up!0 -
They are supposed to be removed within 14 days of your tenancy starting.
Call them and remind them.
I was woken at 5:45 this morning by someone putting a to let board outside my house. So they are keen to get them out up!0 -
Just take it out / remove it, and put it somewhere safe.
Contact agent and tell them where you have put it for them to collect at their leisure.0 -
They make great sledges... Got snow your way?0

If you have a wood burner.......
or if you're into politics they're good for sticking posters to at election time. Could be any day now.......0 -
We took ours down the day after we moved in. Be warned, water can collect in the top of them. My husband managed to tip the water down my neck and then his me on the head with the sign!0
