    God arnt you all tight,
Tiling under kitchen units is a pane , no good run, all cuts around sockets and units, window sills, just think of the hassle involved from a tilers point of veiw , by the time he has been to look at the job generally twice plus tim and expence of writing a quote, then arranging a spare day in between bigger better jobs, and then customers winging becouse they carnt cook their tea or wash up, i think i need a pint.
  • Hi £20 per metre is very good and is what most tilers would charge. However when its an awkward space such as a bathroom floor where there are more cuts needed they will charge a daily rate because there isn't enough metres to make money and it takes longer to tile a bathroom floor than a kitchen or conservatory floor due to the obstacles such as toilet, sink. A bathroom walls and floor should take 1 half days to complete whereas conservatory floor is one morning and pop back later to quickly grout and clean off.

Please bear in mind that it takes 1 day to lay and grout a conservatory floor which can be up to 20 metres therefore a tiler can earn more money whereas a bathroom can take longer to do. Hence this may be reflected in the quote.
  • We charge £18.00 sqm on walls & £22.00 on floors this is for ceramic tiles. If you want natural stone eg: marble, sandstone, limestone, slate or travertine we charge around £25-£30. We are based in South East London and at the moment I am very busy which shows its a good price.
