Winter Tyres . . . Again
Comments
-
Tried running only 2 winter tyres on the front and I won't do it again. There was little traction in the back causing an imbalance in handling. My car has four Blizzak's now and I'm very pleased. These bridgestone tires are surprisingly good in the snow and dry roads.0

The most important thing for them was to get moving and stopping. All this talk of the back end spinning out because of less grip was moot because people drive extra slow in snow - you're more likely to corner at walking pace than at 30mph in snow.
Watch the video I posted, the guy wasn't driving anywhere near 30MPH. You can lose the back end at walking pace. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The rear will spin out, it did on mine when having to brake hard for a bus on the wrong side of the road when I had winters only on the front. the car went sideways instantly. That afternoon I drove down a snowy road with the rear sliding about to have 2 more fitted to the rear. On the way back on the same road the car was so much more stable.0
