Fraudulant company?

Hi. I need some advice from anyone who may have more knowledge about Parking Charge Notices. One was placed on a vehicle, which states if contested that the person must write in with their name and address. Obviously that way they would have the persons details. Their PCN states they are IPC accredited, however the IPC website does not have them listed. The company is called "Parking Lots Ltd"

Does anybody know if they are accredited and able to obtain details from the DVLA. The person parking could not purchase a ticket, as at 6.30am, the machine was frozen solid and was not issuing any. The driver does not want to write in and give their details in case this would result in the company then obtaining details to persue any future action.

Exactly. If they're not in an AOS scheme then they can't get keeper details from the DVLA. (They could try the manual form method, but they'd be on a sticky wicket as their grounds for seeking keeper details would seem tenuous at best). As such it is probable that a NTK will never arrive.
  • website shows corporate , they were mentioned on here or pepipoo recently but parking and lots is a no no on here or google

as they are IPC with no appeal sys , say nothing and await

Not doubting you BT, but I can't find them on the IPC AOS list (nor under their previous incarnation - RCP].

I've also checked the BPA AOS and there's a RCP there, but doesn't seem to be the same one.

Where did you find the info?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Their website proudly pronounces:
We are a member of the Independent Parking Community, which is an accredited trade body for parking making sure we adhere to best code of practice.
Do they really know to which trade body they belong?

The International Parking Community was once, several years ago, known as The Independent Parking Committee, but where does The Independent Parking Community come from?

There's not much else on their website - certainly no Privacy page.

As you say, the IPC website does not have them listed as AOS members.
  • There in lies my confusion. I'll await the NTK (or lack of hopefully) and see where we go from there. Its strange they're not listed but say they're accredited. Sound a bit like fraud by false representation to me if they aren't members

What a rubbishy, amateurish looking website!

So they reckon those are their Frequently Asked Questions, do they?!
