IVA annual review

Hi there,
Hoping you can help. My IVA company has sent me a link to log into online to complete my first review.
When going through this, I'm asked to give my online banking username, password and other banking detail details.
I'm very suspicious about doing this, especially as the first email I got from them was quite suspicious, bad grammar and one paragraph was repeated word for word.

The company has sent me a text telling me that I will receive a link. And I missed a call from them earlier.
I also think that it's too early for my review, as the IVA only started at the end of March 2018 - Surely this should be completed in March 2019

thank you

yes, your review is annually, so expect it in the next few weeks.

never EVER give banking details to anyone - your IP will not ask for this

looks like a fraudster knows you are in an IVA, and taking some chances to get your information.

speak to your IP and make sure they send what is needed via post, based on what you have said. make sure you contact them on a number from your original paperwork

The only person in the world who needs that information is you. Anyone who asks for it, whatever their excuse, is a fraudster. Even your own bank wouldn't ask for it.
  • Thanks guys, I thought as much, even spoke with the bank about it today and they advised strongly against it.
I've read on here that the IVA company (Creditfix) has got pretty pushy with people in the past about this.
  • How strange that they want your bank details! You are totally right to withhold this information. I'm not surprised they are asking for the review information now as it is only a few weeks until your annual review so they need enough time to ensure you send the information (alot of customers need several reminders) and also to give you time to collate it. However they do NOT need your banking details, just send them a months bank statement.
