Lidyls/Athena Parking charge

I have received today a parking charge notice from Athena via the post with photos of my car entering & exiting the car park. On reflection it is a long while since I have checked the car parking notice but it used to be 1 hr 30 minutes. I had not realised that this has been changed to 1 hour. I was parked there for 1 hour 24 minutes.
I intended buying a loaf after visiting one or two local shops, but when I returned found the store had been shut (although it looked open - but the people inside the store were doing a refurb and apparently the store had been closed for 3 days for this refurbishment) so I could not but my loaf.
I'm peeved as I should have checked their car park notice, but then again, why would I expect it to be any different. Any advice will be gratefully received.
Sorely tempted to send them £10 explaining that previous car parking notice stated 1 hour 30 mins & could I be expected to know this has changed

First, edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
The Keeper has protections in law that The Driver does not.
Do this before you do anything else.
Next, read the sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the appeal template in blue text you will find there. Then read up on what to if/when it is rejected.
You should also check with your local planning department as it is quite possible that the original permission was for 1 1/2 hours or more, and the scammers have reduced it in breach of the planning decision.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Do a very simple forum search on keywords Lidl Haertnagel, follow the advice in any of those threads you will find (dozens upon dozens) and you'll have this cancelled in no time.
HOW TO USE THE FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION:
Hit your 'Back' button to get back to the forum thread list. On the bar just above the threads you'll see the 'Search' function. Click on the 'Advanced Search' button and on the following page place your keyword(s) in the 'Search By Keyword(s)' and make sure the 'Show Results As' button (at the foot of the window) is changed from 'Threads' to 'Posts'.
