OFGEM has appointed Utilita as SoLR for Our Power Customers
OFGEM has appointed Utilita as Supplier of Last Resort for Our Power Customers.
I’ve never heard of Utilita and all I’ve found out so far is that they're a lot to do with prepayment meters, of which I don’t have.
As an ex-Our Power customer I’d be very interested to hear any feedback on Utilita Energy Ltd.

Utilita has committed to make significant improvements in its complaints handling and answering of phone calls by end of March – making it easier for customers to contact them. This will improve customer service both for Utilita’s existing customers, and incoming Our Power customers.
Doesn't sound too promising for the next couple of months at least ... :eek:0 -
It would seem Ofgem haven’t got any regard for Our Power customers when they transfer 31,000 new accounts to a company that is currently having problems with customer service that in their own words claim will only have fixed out by end of March. You’re right is doesn’t look promising.0

OFGEM will be running out of SoLR soon if the carnage continues.
Passing more customers onto companies that have a pretty poor customer service reputation wont improve matters all that much and will no doubt help them to evaporate as well.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Especially as they are going to be responsible for the carried forward credits of the Our Power customers:(0 -
What is in it for a SOLR ? A larger customer base for a short time ; a lot of hassle.
Does a SOLR get any financial payment ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I received a text re this today, so informal hate it when companies text, texting is for invites to the pub... not that I get those of late!
Utilita will cost me £33.37 more a year! am on pre payment elec and have a low income
Having had a look about Octopus (ok I like the name) seems to be the same costings as I had on Our Power
Do I have to go to Utilita?Aspiring to be financially independent.... from my parents!0 -
Ofgem's director for future retail markets Philippa Pickford said: "Utilita has agreed to absorb the costs of taking on these customers and outstanding credit balances, which means the extra costs will not fall on the industry or households.0

Yes. Trying to short cut the system will only end in tears and may delay a switch to your chosen supplier.
Making toast ends up in tears at the moment! darn hormones
Thanks though, will hold of switching until the dust settlesAspiring to be financially independent.... from my parents!0
