Hi i'm hoping someone can help. I was struggling with monthly payments with Barclaycard earlier last year and called them, they were brilliant as I was also suffering with anxiety, stress they put a hold on my account and said not to worry about payments for 2 months and call them after this time, I did, and they said not to worry as my circumstances had still not changed. They advised after 6 months of no payments a default would be put on the account but because of my anxiety etc they would keep the account in house for at least the next 5 years so wouldn't sell to an outside company.

Now … on checking my credit report it states there is a default but it says:

Current status: Default/Ended
Entry code: C1
Account settled 03/09/2018

I am really confused as the default wasn't issued till November 2018, so why does it say account settled 3/9/18? and why does it say settled? Does anyone know?

I haven't heard from them since end of October.

Thanks for any advice :)
