Issue with providing proof of address for partner

Hi everyone,
I am currently going to rent a property and will be paying the holding deposit tomorrow, and I have just realised that I may have an issue so was looking for some advice about providing proof of address for my missus.
She was living in a rented property 6 months ago but moved out to a friends house (Owned, fully paid for) to save a bit of money and look after her kids from time to time. There's no official contract or anything about this. The issue is that she has any letters that are sensitive (bank statements, hospital letters, HMRC stuff) sent to mine as her friends place has one of those open mailboxes that can easily be stolen by anyone living in her block.
She will need to provide proof of address at some point to the estate agents but she doesn't live here, and anything they will accept as proof of address has my address on it. My issue is that if she provides proof of address for my place, they will want a landlord reference for her from my landlord which can't happen as she doesn't live here. In all honestly I did want her to but my flatmate refused, hence our current situation.
She does have a landlord reference from 6 months prior and one for a year before that, covering 2 years. Will I run into huge issues here?
