I think if you go with any premium account with a quality VPN service then they almost offer all of their features of all operating systems and devices. Only a few don't work properly with uncommon operating systems and devices like a router but I don't think NordVPN is one of them. However, this article https://digitalcruch.com/best-vpn-services/ you can read the reviews of the best VPN services with all details of their key features.
I am using IPVanish and it is very good with more than 40,000 IP address and works well for all devices. I also heard good views about the ExpressVPN but its monthly plan is a little expensive. By the way, you can also contact with the customer support team in case you are having an issue with any router.0 -

a right pain.
But VPN's definitely have their place.
That's because as far as your webmail is concerned you are in a different location whilst using the VPN. The security prompts are to protect you - if you never logged in from say Spain and suddenly you had a few login attempts from Spain, surely you can see how that might be seen as suspicious? That's why I have the extra security. Sure it's a "pain" but less of a pain than having to pick up the pieces after you get hacked or something. If you consistently use the same VPN sever however, then your IP should remain the same and you may get the prompts less often (or even may start to get them when you try logging back in using your "normal" IP address outside the VPN!).
Wouldn't recommend a free VPN in any circumstance however, particularly for privacy. They are "free" for a reason...0 -

^^ I got sick and tired trying to counteract peoples misconceptions regarding VPNs in these threads , people just have the general 'feeling' that VPN will protect them from being hacked - which as we both know is twaddle .. The media is partly to blame I guess , coupled with Chinese whispers and half understanding stuff ..
That and the immense spam magnet that these threads are (some more thinly veiled than others)means I rarely comment on them any more - just leave them to it.0 -
Doesn't the latest Firefox update with the new Privacy stuff mean that VPNs aren't needed. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0
