Transfer of part plot of land

Hi

My Dad is transferring a portion of a field into my sister and my name.

What is the normal length of time it would take for Land Registry to complete the land transfer?

My Dads solicitor began the process back in June 2018 and it still hasn't been completed. What could be causing the delay? Apparently, part transfers of land can take a lot longer but I've read the average time is 62 Days.

Thanks in advance

It would only take this long if

    * the forms had not been submitted
*the forms had not been submitted correctly
    * the LR had returned a query which is outstanding

What did the solicitor say when you last chased this?
  • I spoke to the RL directly today.

The application was actually put in on Nov 4th 2018 and they are currently working through Octobers back log.

My application has not been assigned yet and is waiting in the queue
