Renting Out a House with charges against it

Good morning
I am just trying to find out if it is allowed to rent out a property which has a significant amount of charges against it please. I know that you can't sell the property without paying back the charges but can you rent it say as a holiday let & make profit from it? If it is illegal who would I report it to?
Thanks

Every property that's mortgaged has a substantial charge against it.
How many let properties are mortgaged?0 -
The answer hasn't changed since the last time you asked us exactly the same question:

Of course you can. Why would you think you cant? It might be a good way of raising money to pay off the charges. A bit like, errm, a mortgage, which is nothing other than a charge against a property !0 -

Good spot.0 -
It isn't mortgaged & I know the person in question isn't paying back the money.
Last time that I ask a question on here, you really are quite a hostile bunch.
Thanks0 -
It isn't mortgaged
Thats what a charge is.I know the person in question isn't paying back the money.
Then let the person with the charge know.Last time that I ask a question on here, you really are quite a hostile bunch.
Factual and to the point. How about dobbing them in to HMRC for not declaring rental income, after all if they are pulling wool over the chargee's eyes odds are they arent declaring rental income either.0 -
Re-reading your original thread, isn't a possible negative outcome that the horrible neighbours have to leave their larger rented place and move back next door to you ?0
