Financial Association

My credit report shows a financial association with my husband as I would expect it to as we have a joint account and previously had a mortgage together.
Does this mean his searches show up under my searches on my report?
We recently bought a new car on a PCP, it was applied for with my husband's details as my new work contract doesn't start until April. It was done by Evolution Funding and under my recent searches it shows Evolution Funding. Does this mean they actually ran a check on me?
No major issue with them searching me, just not sure how they were able to when they didn't have my details.
I'm really trying to take control of my report so I can keep it in the best possible standing, and just want to be clear on how it works.
Did check FAQS on Experian and Clearscore but couldn't find an answer.

It means they can check your file through seeing you as a financial associate.
However, not all lenders will search financial associates.0 -
Thanks for the clarification, good to know.0
